Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of heavy equipment and possess excellent mechanical knowledge. This role involves transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. The Truck Driver will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment, as well as providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Operate trucks to transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Perform routine maintenance on trucks, including checking oil levels, tire pressure, and other essential functions.
Utilize heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, and forklifts as needed for loading and unloading materials.
Assist with assembly and maintenance tasks using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur during transport.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
Skills
Experience with dealership operations is a plus.
Proficient in operating heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform automotive repairs and maintenance.
Familiarity with electrical systems and schematics related to heavy equipment operation.
Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on communication.
Experience in industrial equipment operation and assembly tasks.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools effectively.
